Path in an Island

After losing my beloved pet, I resumed taking evening strolls along the tree-lined paths near my residence. The red autumn leaves, backlit by the silvery moon, soothed me and revived my willpower to face every new day. The scenery I encounter during my strolls is filled with the blossoming flowers and the changing colors of leaves.

The artwork represents Jeju Island's calm and spiritual character, invigorating the viewer. I attempted to portray Jeju, my hometown, as beautiful as I know it, with the deep and rich colors of the surrounding blue ocean and its contrasting reds, arranged in layers. “Path in an Island” has an energy that is both strong and peaceful – guiding me to be my true self.
