Weight of Shadow

It is difficult to carry the weight of responsibility as a first daughter, a Senior student, and a friend as I try to handle all the pressure and weaknesses on my own. For a long time, I wrestled with inner conflicts and fought against my own "Shadow,” the parts of myself burdened by insecurity. And my relentless effort to carry everything alone without seeking support eventually led to my breaking point.

To capture this concept, I created a digital sculpture in Maya to represent the struggle before overcoming one’s shadow, embodying the weight of Sisyphus’s burden. The glass sculpture reflects my psyche during this period as the figure is bearing the weight of challenges alone and, ultimately, succumbing to its vulnerabilities.
