By implementing Jung's theory in my life, I was able to discover my authentic self. This artwork reflects my experience that some aspects of who I am were viewed differently from the perspective of others.
I illustrate this idea with an image made of irregularly shaped and highlighted parts of my face to illustrate my efforts to stay true to myself against the societal perceptions of myself. The unusual protrusions of every single reflection demonstrate the perspectives from the outer world – I wanted to visually narrate how such suppression of one’s true nature can destroy oneself.
